Engineering Surveying Services

High-accuracy 3D control and reference systems for complex industrial environments.

DMS provides precision engineering surveying services to establish coordinate control, reference datums and spatial verification within large industrial facilities. Our capability supports installation, retrofit and modification projects where dimensional accuracy is critical.

Industrial Coordinate Control

Engineering surveying differs from conventional land surveying. It focuses on high-accuracy 3D measurement within plant environments to define reference systems, verify spatial relationships and support mechanical installation.

Laser tracker systems allow rapid establishment of coordinate frameworks across large working volumes without reliance on external survey control.

Applications

  1. Establishment of site coordinate systems

  2. Datum network installation

  3. Machine centreline definition

  4. Structural reference grid verification

  5. Retrofit and modification surveys

  6. As-built plant surveys

  7. Spatial verification prior to installation

Datum Network Installation

Permanent or semi-permanent reference networks can be installed to provide repeatable spatial control throughout the life of a facility.

These networks enable:

  • Repeatable shutdown alignment

  • Multi-stage installation verification

  • Ongoing deformation monitoring

  • Long-term dimensional consistency

Why Engineering Surveying?

Compared with conventional total station or optical methods, our Engineering surveying provides:

  • Higher accuracy

  • Faster setup

  • Real-time 3D coordinate capture

  • Reduced cumulative error

  • Realtime Reporting and Analysis

Technical Capability

  1. Working range over 200 metres

  2. Point measurement accuracy to 0.015 mm

  3. Real-time coordinate reporting

  4. Portable deployment within operating plant
